Clinton Path Preschool
A play-based, cooperative preschool in Brookline, MA
After you apply, you will receive a confirmation email stating that the school has received your application and that your child has been placed on our admissions list. As we offer rolling admissions, you will then be notified if a spot becomes available for mid-year enrollment, or in February-March for Fall enrollment.
Applications are accepted at any time and are organized on the admissions list according to date of receipt. If there are no openings at the time your application is received, your child’s name will be placed on our admissions list. If a spot opens up during the school year, we fill it by contacting families on our admissions list, also in the order in which applications were received. Generally, for Fall enrollment, enrollment offers are issued in February-March prior to the September start.
Our application deadline is the end of January of the enrollment year. We typically issue enrollment offers beginning in February-March on a rolling basis. If you have applied to the school and are on the admissions list, you can expect to hear from us around this time. If you are offered a spot, we invite you to visit the school with your child during school hours and ask that you make a commitment within one week from our initial offer.
As we offer rolling admissions, we also enroll students mid-year if/when spots become available.
Clinton Path Preschool thrives because of the active participation of our families and their various professional backgrounds, talents, perspectives and experiences. As co-op members, parents perform diverse administrative and maintenance tasks, participate in planning and policy-making for the school, and have access to a community of families and teachers. The school welcomes and encourages parents to join their children at lunch, providing a relaxed opportunity for discussion with other parents and teachers. In addition to performing a co-op job, parents take part in two work days each school year, attend three or four parent meetings throughout the year and participate in our fundraising events. We recognize that many of our families have busy lives and careers and we have taken care to delegate our jobs efficiently and support one another so no family should feel that the commitment to helping in our school is too overwhelming. We do not require any in-class support commitment from families.
Our regular school hours are from 8:00am until 12:30pm. We have an Extended Day option until 5:30pm. For the children staying after 12:30pm, the children eat lunch together, followed by a rest/quiet time, and more fun and games afterward. You can sign up for Extended Day for every day for the length of the school year, or some of the days, or even on a day-to-day basis if space and staffing permits on a "Per Diem" basis.
