Do you have any openings?
Please contact our preschool to find out about current openings. We start the admissions process for the school year (Sept – June) in January or February and fill spots in the order in which applications were received. If a spot opens up during the school year, we fill it by contacting families on our waitlist, also in the order in which applications were received. We also invite families to participate in our summer program open to children from 3-5 years of age and open to all families irregardless of admissions status.
What happens after I send in my application?
Shortly after you apply, you will receive a confirmation email stating that the school has received your application and that your child has been placed on our waitlist. You will then be notified if a spot becomes available.
When will I learn if my child has a place at the school?
We usually begin filling spots for the upcoming school year in early February. If you have applied to the school and are on the waitlist, we will contact you then with information about whether we have a spot for your child. If you are offered a spot, you will be able to make an appointment to visit the school with your child during school hours. Spots may also open up throughout the school year. If this happens and there is a spot available for your child, you will be contacted.
How do you fill open spots?
Spots are filled in the order in which applications were received. If there are no openings at the time your application is received, your child’s name will be placed on our waitlist. Clinton Path Preschool aims for an even number of girls and boys and an even mix of three and four year olds, with two spots reserved for two year olds.
Can you tell me what number I am on the waitlist?
Unfortunately, we are not able to tell families where they are on the waitlist. Spots may open up at any time, and as a result your child may be able to get a spot at the school even if you are at the bottom of the list.
Can I visit the school?
We have an annual open house night in early December at which prospective families get an opportunity to visit the school, meet the teachers and current families and ask questions. If your child is offered a spot, you will also be invited to make an appointment to visit the
school during school hours.
